Investigator Natalya Pakhomova learns that her eight-year-old son urgently needs an expensive operation. Natalia is divorced and lives with her retired mother. A bank loan, the sale of an apartment, the help of colleagues, modest personal savings - this is only half of the required amount. Meanwhile, the boy's condition worsens. The account goes on days. Unexpectedly, Natalya receives an offer from a major crime boss: she will receive the required amount if she organizes the escape of the killer, whose case she is leading.
